Word of the day:
John 1:14:
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth (NKJV).
This Jesus whom we are most familiar with is Emanual God with us. Take note, as the writer tell us that our creator clothed himself in flesh, he testifies that the word became the living word; hence, flesh that dwelt among them.
How do we incorporate this truth of reality into our Christian Walk? Well, it's simple but first let's observe the following:
The word became flesh, and the disciple beheld his glory. What is this glory they beheld?
Well let's first remember that Jesus did not become a living thing for he was and is creator of all things:
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made (John 1:1-5).
So, if Jesus is creator of all things and he did not become a living thing because God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one; that is "Eternal Life" then what is this glory they speak of, what did they witness, what did they experience when they beheld his glory?
It is this child of God:
They beheld with their natural eyes the works of his hands, as he touched with compassion the afflictions of many, curing the wounded and healing their diseases.
They beheld with their natural ears; hearing the voice of supreme authority that commanded demons to flee, and tumultuous storms to be still.
They beheld with their impulsive emotions and their sensational feelings how the living word became flesh was crucified, on the third day rose from the dead, walking among the living.
They beheld his glory full of grace and truth that Jesus Christ is indeed the resurrected King of Glory.
